It’s rare in advertising to celebrate a company discontinuing a product. As of 2020, the Beetle has retired after 70 years to pave the way for an electric future. On New Year’s Eve 2019, we said goodbye with a short film marking the end of a decade to ring in the new. We included everyone through the ages who’s lives have been touched by the Bug, with special appearances by Andy Warhol, Andy Cohen, and Kevin Bacon.
